Dr. Angela Burda, daughter of Michael and Gloria Burda of Barnesville, and Edward McLaughlin, son of Barry and Marlene McLaughlin of Tamaqua, were united in marriage on June 27, 2015, at the First Presbyterian Church in Cape May, New Jersey.

Given in marriage by her parents, the bride chose Kristen Williams as her maid of honor.Bridesmaids included Ariele Baggett, Andrea Testerman and Samantha Burda.The bridegroom chose Dr. Sean McLaughlin as his best man. Groomsmen included Chris McLaughlin, Michael Burda Jr. and Joshua Burda.A reception was held at the Inn of Cape May.The new Mrs. McLaughlin is a 2004 graduate of Marian Catholic High School and a 2008 graduate of Misericordia University, where she earned a bachelor of science degree.She also earned a doctor of optometry degree from Salus University in 2012.She is employed as an optometrist for Visionworks of America.Mr. McLaughlin is a 2003 graduate of Marian Catholic High School and a 2008 graduate of Kutztown University, where he earned his bachelor's degree in special education.He also earned master's degrees from Drexel University in 2011 in Special Education and Western Governors University in 2014 for educational leadership.He is currently employed as a special-education teacher for Aspira Inc. of Pennsylvania.The couple resides in Telford.
