A female motorist was injured in a crash Friday morning at the entrance to the Carbon Plaza Mall in Mahoning township. The crash occurred just before 8 a.m. involving a car and a Jeep sport utility vehicle. The female driver was in the Jeep which appeared to have struck the car broadside. Mahoning Valley and Lehighton fire companies responded to the scene. Mahoning township police are investigating the incident.
