Several defendants enter pleas

The following defendants entered pleas before Carbon County Judge Joseph J. Matika Tuesday.

Jessica M. Boyd, 37, and Jesse K. Boyd, 33, both of Tennessee, pleaded guilty for an incident in Kidder Township.Jessica Boyd pleaded to four counts of possession of drug paraphernalia while her husband, Jesse, pleaded to five counts of criminal conspiracy-possession of a controlled substance. The two faced over 40 drug counts after they were arrested on July 27, 2012, by township police in the area of Jack Frost Mountain Ski area.The two were involved in securing oxycodone pills from another party.Both were placed on probation for a year and ordered to render 50 hours of community service each, and both get drug and alcohol evaluations and follow any recommendations for treatment.Eric John Pauloski, 34, of Albrightsville, pleaded to one count of possession of drug paraphernalia and a summary offense of restrictions on alcoholic beverages. A charge of driving under the influence was dropped.Pauloski was arrested on Sept. 29, 2013, by Kidder Township police who responded to the entrance to Holiday Pocono development for a vehicle into a concrete support for a gate at the entrance. Pauloski was the operator of the vehicle.Assistant District Attorney Joseph Perilli said the DUI charge was dropped because the crash occurred on private property.Matika placed Pauloski on probation for a year and ordered he get a D&A evaluation, zero tolerance for D&A use, and render 50 hours of community service. On the summary offense he was fined $25.David Richard Fisher, 44, of Drums, Luzerne County, pleaded to one count of possession of drug paraphernalia. He was arrested on June 17, 2014, by state police at Hazleton when they went to his residence to serve an arrest warrant on him. In plain view in the home were two pipes used to smoke crack cocaine.Fisher is currently serving a six to 12 months prison term in Luzerne County for a parole violation.Matika placed him on probation for a year and ordered he get a D&A evaluation, zero tolerance for D&A use, and render 50 hours of community service.Each defendant sentenced must also pay court costs of about $1,000, and a $50 per month supervision fee while on probation or parole.
