The word "revitalization," in regard to downtown Lehighton has come up several times in the past, with not much progress to show for the efforts. Dale Freudenberger, Lehigh National Heritage Corridor Market Towns manager, is hopeful this time will lead to more positive results.

About one dozen people attended a public meeting in the Lehighton Municipal Building to discuss the ways and means of bringing serious change to the district.The group agreed to focus on the area around the Lehighton Park.
