Carbon commissioners approve personnel appointments, moves

Carbon County commissioners approved a number of appointments and personnel moves during their weekly meeting on Thursday.

Actions approved include:Board appointments• The appointment of Roger Shoenberger of Palmerton as the farmer director for the Conservation District. This is a four-year term and he is replacing Clark Shoenberger.• The reappointment of Dr. Justin Cunfer of Lehighton as the public director for the Conservation District. This is a four-year term.• The reappointment of Commissioners' Chairman Wayne Nothstein as the commissioner representative for the Conservation District. This is a one-year term.• The reappointment of Joan Chambers, Evergreen Apartments, Weatherly, to the Housing Authority. This is a five-year term to Dec. 31, 2020.• The reappointment of Commissioner William O'Gurek to the MH/DS Advisory Board. This is a three-year term to March 31, 2018.Personnel• Accept the retirement of Kathleen L.
