Shawna Slattery of Slatington received a bachelor of science in nursing from Western Governors University in Salt Lake City, Utah, on Aug. 15.

She was among the 8,500 graduates during the university's 29th semiannual commencement ceremony.President and CEO of Intermountain Healthcare, Dr. Charles W. Sorenson, delivered the commencement address.
