Pocono Mountain Regional police are investigating an assault incident reported at 3:49 p.m. on Aug. 21 at the Mount Pocono Plaza at Oak Street in Mount Pocono.

Police responded to the plaza for a reported assault. On scene police learned the victim, not identified by police, had been struck in the head numerous times with a wooden stick by an unknown male, who fled the scene before the officers arrived.Anyone with information concerning this incident is asked to call police at 570-895-2400.
