A Monroe County motorcyclist was injured in a hit-and-run crash that was reported at 10:48 a.m. July 3 along Route 209 in Chestnuthill Township.

State police at Fern Ridge said Frank R. Rodriguez, 44, of Kunkletown, driving a 2004 Suzuki motorcycle northbound when another driver, southbound, attempted to turn left into the parking lot the American Legion.The other vehicle struck the front tire of the Suzuki causing Rodriguez to drop his bike to the ground. It then slid about 100 feet into a ditch off the right side of the road. The other driver then fled the scene northbound.Rodriquez sustained minor injuries but did not require immediate medical attention.
