Weatherly won the Valley Junior Babe Ruth 13-15 championship recently by defeating Butler Township, 9-8, in 10 innings. Adam Keselicka walked with the bases loaded to force in the game-winning run. The champions forced extra innings when Ryan Bersavage's triple in the bottom of the seventh inning drove home Steph Yurchak with the tying run. Bersavage and Joel Hinkle each had three hits in the title game. Gary Buck tossed five innings of scoreless relief to earn the pitching win.
