State police at Frackville are investigating a burglary at a Schuylkill County residence.

Troopers said the home in the 100 block of West Ogden Street in Girardville was entered while the family went grocery shopping on Thursday, between 1:30 and 3:05 p.m.Troopers said the criminal gained entry to the home by going through a rear yard, then climbing a 4-foot chain link fence to access the lower rear roof. The suspect then slid up an unlatched second-story window screen to a rear bedroom.Once inside, the suspect went to a third floor room where a PlayStation 4 console was unplugged and taken. Also taken was a Samsung Galaxy 4 electronic tablet. The suspect went to the ground floor and took $3 in cash from on top of a desk in the living room. The suspect left through the rear kitchen door.Anyone with information is asked to call troopers at 570-874-5300.
