Homeless man charged and jailed

A homeless man was arrested by Tamaqua police on July 29 after he caused a disturbance at a business office at 204 E. Broad St.

Officers were called to the office at 9:23 a.m. after Zachary Guy Zerby, 22, began causing a disturbance, smashing several items.Zerby was asked to leave, which he did, but he returned. He then refused to leave despite repeated requests.He was charged with defiant trespass, simple trespass and disorderly conduct.Due to his not having a permanent address, Zerby was arraigned before District Judge Stephen Bayer, of Tamaqua, who set bail at $10,000. Unable to post the required 10 percent, Zerby was lodged in the Schuylkill County Prison in Pottsville.
