One person was seriously injured Sunday afternoon in a crash

on Merwinsburg Road in Chestnuthill Township. The crash occurred as the driver was headed west and failed to negotiate a slight curve in the roadway, hitting a utility pole. The site is just east of theintersection with Valley Road. State police at Fern Ridge areinvestigating the incident.
