Mr. and Mrs. Harry K. Snyder of Tamaqua celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary on July 29.

They were married in Zion's Lutheran Church, Tamaqua, by the late Rev. Charles Schutzer.Mrs. Snyder is the former Joan Schlosser. She retired after 25 years of working as the Tamaqua borough secretary. Her husband is a disabled veteran with 16 years of service. He was last employed as plant superintendent for the former Diversified Metals in Hometown.The couple has two daughters, Suzanne Blanchard of Gatesville, Texas, and Kim Kropp of Tamaqua.They have three grandchildren: Christina Foeller in Alaska, Robert Foeller in Idaho and David Kotansky of Freeland. They also have two great-grandchildren, Hannah and Myriah Foeller.
