Mr. and Mrs. Francis Smell Jr. of Lake Hauto announce the engagement of their daughter, Jessica Lynn, to Joseph-Michael Jeremy Martin, son of Mr. and Mrs. Daniel Martin Sr. of North Irwin.

The bride-to-be is a graduate of Marian Catholic High School. She earned a bachelor's degree in industrial engineering from the University of Pittsburgh and a master of engineering in project management from the University of Maryland.She is PMP certified and currently works as a director of project management at Aramark in Philadelphia.The prospective bridegroom graduated from Norwin High School and received a bachelor of science degree in industrial engineering from the University of Pittsburgh.He is currently employed as a senior industrial engineer at Petco in Cranbury, New Jersey.The couple is planning a wedding for Sept. 12 of this year.
