Firefighters from Aquashicola and Trachsville fire companies responded to a brush fire Friday afternoon in Lower Towamensing Township. The fire was first reported around 3:30 p.m. to the rear of a home in the 1800 block of Walnut street. The flames climbed up an embankment into a heavily wooded area. Firemen were assisted at the scene by members of the Bureau of Forestry.
