Schuylkill ARD admissions

Schuylkill County Judge D. Michael Stine admitted five people into the Accelerated Rehabilitative Disposition program. The program is for first-time offenders. If they successfully complete it, their records may be expunged.

Neil A. Hoffman, 41, of 220 high St., Tamaqua, was charged on Nov. 10, 2013, by Tamaqua police with two counts of driving under the influence after an incident at the Fegley Mini Mart on Center Street. Hoffman pulled into the parking lot at 2:48 a.m. that day, hitting a safety pole at a gas pump and tearing the rear fender from his Jeep Cherokee.Police noticed an odor of alcohol about Hoffman, and he failed field sobriety tests. A blood test revealed a 0.187 percent BAC, more than twice the legal limit of 0.08 percent.Stine ordered Hoffman to spend a year in ARD, lose his license for 60 days, perform 10 hours of community service, pay costs and fees, and successfully complete Alcohol Highway Safety School.Vanessa A. Linkchorst, 23, of Mahanoy Plane, was charged by Rush Township police on April 5 with two counts of driving under the influence, careless driving and failing to stay in her lane. The last two charges were dropped in plea negotiations.Stine accepted her into ARD for one year. She was ordered to pay costs and fees, have her license suspended for 60 days, perform 10 hours of community service, pay costs and fees, and successfully complete Alcohol Highway Safety School.Ashley M. Paulshock, 28, of Beaver Meadows, was charged on Sept. 22, 2013, by Rush Township police with two counts of driving under the influence, driving without a license and careless driving. The last charge was dropped during plea negotiations.Stine ordered Paulshock into ARD for one year, to pay costs and fees, have her license suspended for 30 days, perform 10 hours of community service, and successfully complete Alcohol Highway Safety School.Paulshock was charged after a 1:19 a.m. traffic stop on Claremont Avenue in Hometown. She showed signs of intoxication a blood test showed a 0.127 percent blood alcohol level.Michaelene Trubilla, 41, of Tamaqua, was charged on Nov. 24, 2013, by Tamaqua police with driving under the influence, resisting arrest, and violations of turning and lighting laws. The turning violation charge was dropped.Stine accepted her into ARD for one year; ordered her to pay costs and fees, lose her license for 60 days, perform 10 hours of community service, and successfully complete Alcohol Highway Safety School.Maria C. Whah, 33, of Mahanoy City, was charged on Nov. 26, 2013, by Rush Township police with driving under the influence of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and driving without headlights. One count of possession of marijuana was dropped.Stine accepted her into ARD for one year. he ordered her to pay costs and fees, lose her license for 60 days, perform 10 hours of community service, and successfully complete Alcohol Highway Safety School.
