Mahoning Valley Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Lehighton, held its third annual fair on Friday. Residents gathered in the courtyard to enjoy music via the center's administrator, Mike Mickey, who brought his automated accordion. They snacked on cotton candy and popcorn, enjoyed balloon animals, games, a dunk tank, and visited with horses from Strohl's horse farm.

The festivities began with a staff pie-eating contest in which Calvin Doward, Christopher Rodrigues, Mike Strucko, Brenda Klotz, Vicki Bush and Thomas Helmar vied to see who could eat the most whipped cream pie. A whipped cream covered Rodrigues emerged the winner.
