The Jim Thorpe Lions Club said the 20th annual Halloween Parade will be held at 4 p.m. Oct. 26.

"The 20th Anniversary of the parade is a special milestone," accordingto Jim Trainer, parade coordinator for the Lions Club. "The parade has grown in terms of participation in each of the last three years since the Lions have managed it and we hope the 20th anniversary draws even more community participation."This year, the Lions are also hosting a House Decorating Contest. All homes within theborough are invited to participate. There will be prizes donated by local businesses.The parade will start at 4 p.m. from Jim Thorpe Area High School. All community organizations, schools and businesses are encouraged to participate by marching in the parade.Registration information is available onlineat
