A softball game to benefit the family of Warner B. "Butch" Rodgers is scheduled for noon on Sunday at Christman Field in Franklin Township.

Rodgers, 46, passed away on July 31. He coached the Cobras in the Franklin Township Girls' Softball League.In addition to the game, featuring the Cobras and an alumni squad, the event will feature a raffle and bake sale. A basket display and gift certificates will be up for grabs in the raffle. Food concessions will also be available throughout the day.According to Donald Rehrig, all proceeds will be donated to the Rodgers family."Butch was very much involved with the Franklin Township softball program, coaching and mentoring many girls for approximately 14 years," Rehrig said. "Butch left a big void not only at home but with those he came into contact with through the years. He will be missed by many."A 50/50 drawing will occur midway through the game.The Cobras have also established a scholarship fund in Rodgers' honor.
