Hit-and-run crashes investigated

State police at Lehighton reported on two hit-and-run crashes being investigated by troopers.

Troopers said a hit-and-run was reported at 10:31 a.m. Monday in the parking lot of a Dunkin' Donuts restaurant in Chestnuthill Township, Monroe County. Troopers said Gabrielle F. Crothers, 53, of Kunkletown, pulled to the exit of the parking lot as Theresa S. Pagan, 52, of Brodheadsville, approached from behind.Troopers said Crothers suddenly reversed and struck Pagan's 2006 Honda CRV with her 1999 Dodge. Crothers then left the scene. No injuries were reported.Troopers are seeking the whereabouts of Crothers.The second hit-and-run occurred sometime overnight of Saturday into Sunday along Lower Street, near Little Gap Road in Lower Towamensing Township, Carbon County. Troopers said an unknown vehicle crashed into a ditch and a wooden fence, damaging the fence. The driver then fled the scene.Anyone with information concerning either incident is asked to call troopers at 610-681-1850.
