An Albrightsville man was killed when his vehicle ran up an embankment and flipped onto its roof along Route 534 in Polk Township, Monroe County.

State Police at Lehighton said George B. Sherman, 39, of Star Route, was westbound about 1 a.m. when his vehicle left the roadway and went onto the berm, up the embankment and flipped over. It then skidded on its roof. The crash occurred about half a mile west of Route 209.Troopers said Sherman was not wearing a seat belt and was partially ejected from the vehicle.
