Tamaqua Police have filed drug related charges against a Lansford man after receiving lab results from an Aug. 7 incident.

Kenneth E. Houser, 47, of 828 E. Patterson St., was originally charged with public drunkenness after officers received multiple reports of an inebriated male stumbling along Broad Street. Officers came into contact with Houser at about 9 p.m. He admitted to drinking and intended to walk home. Officers set up a relay with Coaldale and Lansford police to ensure Houser's safety.Before being placed in the police cruiser Houser was found to have what appeared to be marijuana and a drug pipe on his person.When the test results came back positive for marijuana Houser was cited for possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.
