Weatherly and Palmerton picked up soccer victories on Tuesday.

GIRLS SOCCERWeatherly-North SchuylkillWeatherly held off a late North Schuylkill rally to claim a 4-2 triumph, its first win of the season.The Lady Wreckers built a 4-0 lead on the strength of goals from Ally Isom, Tina Caravella, Meghan Moon and Ciana Gomez, and Shannon Frye made 22 saves to turn back the Spartans second half charge.Notre Dame ES-PalmertonPalmerton won convincingly over Notre Dame in a non-league match, 7-2.Brianna Doherty led the way for Palmerton with four goals in the match. Monica Wood continued her strong 2014 season with two more goals. Jenna Blynn scored as well for the Lady Bombers in the second half. Wood, Blynn, Kendra Pekurny, and Elissa Plocinik all had assists during the victory.Julia Paulinho had six saves in the net for Palmerton.BOYS SOCCERNotre Dame ES-PalmertonPalmerton defeated Notre Dame in a non-league match, 2-0.Adam Moyer and Jesse DeKorte did the scoring for Palmerton.
