Probation revocation hearings held

The Carbon County court conducted two probation revocation hearings recently on petitions filed by the adult probation office.

Samuel Heydt, 37, of Nesquehoning, had probation revoked on a charge of accidents involving damage to vehicle or property on petition of probation officer Joseph Bettine for violating conditions by failing to report to the probation office as directed, not residing at his approved residence and his whereabouts unknown, did not make a concerted effort to make payments on his court costs, and failed to obtain a drug and alcohol evaluation and follow all recommendations.President Judge Roger N. Nanovic II resentenced him to serve 65 days to one year in jail. He was paroled on Oct. 3 at 9 a.m. to be transported to the Salvation Army inpatient rehab program in Wilkes-Barre. The court order states if he fails to complete the program or leaves before being released, he must report back to the county prison.Andrew Youells, 41, of Telford, Montgomery County, had his placement in the Accelerated Rehabilitation Disposition probation program on a charge of driving under the influence revoked on petition of Bettine for violating conditions by failing to obtain a drug and alcohol evaluation, failing to complete alcohol highway safety program, and failing to complete 50 hours of community service.Judge Joseph J. Matika ordered the case placed on the next available trial list.
