Carbon commissioners OK personnel moves

Carbon County Commissioners approved a number of personnel actions on Thursday.

They include changing the status of Joseph D. Perilli of Summit Hill. Perilli, who served as a full-time assistant public defender in the public defender's office, will now serve as a full-time assistant district attorney, effective Oct. 27. He will be paid $56,000 a year.Other actions included:• Accepting the resignation of David T. Hauser of Lehighton as a seasonal park ranger II, effective Oct. 2.• Hiring Jennifer L. Rapa of Lehighton as an assistant public defender, effective Oct. 10.• Appointing Jolene N. Remus of Wilkes-Barre as a certified court reporter, effective Nov. 10.• Changing the status of Thomas J. Grant Jr. of Bryn Mawr from law clerk (temporarily) to law clerk in court administration, effective Oct. 2.• Approving a leave of absence for Michele Huszar of Palmerton, department clerk I in juvenile court from Dec. 1 to Dec. 9.• Approving a leave of absence for Jesus A. Morales of Jim Thorpe, corrections officer at the prison, from Oct. 22 to Jan. 22, 2015.
