The Wilkes-Barre enforcement office of the state liquor control board conducted age compliance checks at five licensed establishments in Carbon County, on Saturday between 4 p.m. and midnight.

Age compliance checks consist of using supervised underage buyers in an attempt to purchase alcoholic beverages.The five busineses checked did not serve alcohol to the underage buyers. Those in-compliance were Capone's Bar & Grill, White Haven; Boulder View Tavern Inc, Lake Harmony; Getz's Hotel Inc., Lehighton; and Penn's Peak LLC and Lyle A. Augustine III, both of Jim Thorpe.
