The Five Points intersection in Tamaqua was the scene of an unusual accident when a tractor trailer, loaded with coal, upset and spilled its contents over a car driven by a Coaldale woman.

Tamaqua Police report the driver had to be assisted from the car, but was not injured.The truck struck the left side of the car, then forced it up onto the sidewalk. The trailer then upset, spilling coal over the roof of the car.
