The Panther Valley Industrial Commission, organized in 1946 under the name Panther Valley Postwar Planning Commission, has voted to disband. The commission has been inactive for more than a year, and officers said lack of interest prompted the move.
Industries secured by the commission include Bundy Tubing Company in Hometown; and Robert M. Green and Sons Inc. of Nesquehoning, which was later taken over by the Lehigh Aluminum Company.Commission board members include: James Gildea of Coaldale; Wash Snoich of Nesquehoning; John Miske of Tamaqua; and John Cadden of Nesquehoning.
