Carbon PASR named Two-Star Chapter

Earlier this month at the 2014 Ruth Abigail Boyer Leadership Conference, the Carbon Chapter of the Pennsylvania Association of School Retirees was recognized by the state association for the broad array of social opportunities provided for its members and for expanding and improving the information that it regularly provides to both members and nonmembers.

Richard C. Rowland, PASR's executive director, commended the local chapter for its accomplishments."Our organization's mission, to serve others in need and help one another enjoy retirement, is clearly in your hearts. You are serving a very important need and a common desire of all retired public school employees in Carbon County by providing opportunities for individuals who were often separated while working (due to the positions they held or their union/organizational affiliations), allowing them to come together in retirement and simply enjoy themselves."For more information, contact chapter President Janet O.
