Schuylkill probation sentences

Schuylkill County Judge John Domalakes has placed 10 local people on probation, including a Tamaqua man charged with stabbing his roommate. All of the defendants will pay court costs and fees.

Thomas Ruzzano, 44, Tamaqua, will serve 23 months. He was charged on May 3 by Tamaqua police with two counts each of aggravated and simple assault, reckless endangerment, harassment, and disorderly conduct. All but the simple assault charges were dropped.Police were dispatched to 220 Pine St. about 8 p.m. that day for a report of a stabbing. Arriving on scene, police learned that Randy Gilson, 51, 231 Pine St. and Ruzzano, same address, had been involved in a fight in front of the house.Gilson had a stab wound to his abdominal area, according to police. Tamaqua EMS took him to St. Luke's University Hospital-Miners Campus in Coaldale, after which he was transferred to St. Luke's University Hospital-Bethlehem Campus.John Vidzicki, 31, Mahanoy City, will serve 12 months. He was charged on Oct. 30, 2013, by Rush Township police with possession of a controlled substance.Levi Warren, 31, Tamaqua, will serve 23 months. He was charged on June 6 by Tamaqua police with simple assault, stalking and harassment. The stalking and harassment charges were dropped.Brian Parrish, 46, Tamaqua, will serve 23 months. He was charged on Feb. 23 with simple assault, disorderly conduct and harassment. All but the simple assault charge were dropped.Ashtyn G. Mark, 25, Perry County, will serve 12 months. She was charged on Aug. 10, 2012, by Rush Township police with possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia and furnishing liquor to a minor. The possession of a controlled substance and furnishing charges were dropped.Edward Kashmer, 48, Tamaqua, will serve 18 months. He was charged on Oct. 31, 2013, by Tamaqua police with theft.Cory Matalavage, 33, Tamaqua, will serve 12 months. He was charged on Nov. 16, 2013, by Tamaqua police with selling a controlled substance and retail theft. The theft charge was dropped.Ronald Musselman, 31, Port Charlotte, Florida, will serve 23 months. He was charged on March 5 by Rush Township police with retail theft, receiving stolen goods and criminal mischief. All but the retail theft charge were dropped.Annette Broadt, no age or address available, will serve six months, pay a $300 fine and serve 10 hours of community service. She was charged on Feb. 8 by Coaldale police with two counts of driving under the influence and failing to stay in her lane of traffic. One of the DUI counts was dropped.Joseph Leskin, no age or address available, was fined $150 on a disorderly conduct charge filed Feb. 5 by Schuylkill Township police. A charge of harassment was dropped, and the disorderly conduct charge downgraded from a misdemeanor to a summary.
