A Lackawanna County firm has been awarded a contract worth in excess of $100,000 to do remedial work on the Summit Hill Water Authority's system in 1989. The work will be paid for, in part, with a Pennsylvania Department of Commerce Community Facilities Grant of $75,000.
The grant was secured through the help of state Rep. Keith R. McCall, who hand delivered the grant application to Harrisburg.The authority will be responsible for paying about $31,000 for the work.
