State police at Schuylkill Haven are investigating an assault incident that occurred on Wednesday in Schuylkill County.

Troopers said at 11:30 p.m. John Andrachick, 64, of Pottsville, was at Cathy's Dog Boarding/Grooming business at 21 Beckville Road, North Manheim Township, when an unknown suspect attempted to steal his truck.Andrachick approached the vehicle and got into an altercation with the suspect, who was seated in the truck. Andrachick dove into the truck and grabbed the wheel, then fell to the ground.At this point the suspect applied the gas pedal and the truck moved backward and ran over Andrachick's left leg. The truck drove over a bank into a yard and got stuck. The suspect then ran off and was last seen running toward Panther Valley Road.Troopers did not indicate if Andrachick needed medical attention.
