Students at Panther Valley Elementary School joined with Blue Ridge Communications in helping with the Stockings for Soldiers program. The program sends food and hygiene items to troops in Iraq, Afghanistan and Kuwait. The students gathered seven boxes filled with goodies for the military and $81 to put toward shipping costs. They also constructed handmade cards and donated small Christmas decorations to help spread Christmas cheer to the soldiers away from home for the holidays. Students are, front row, Gavin Yuricheck, Marc Pearson, William Davis, David Pearson and Jayden Troxell; and back row, Kayden Zettlemoyer, Kylee Messinger and Kathryn Wargo.
