The sale of the former Bright's Department Store building in Lansford to the Kovatch Corporation was confirmed this morning by Joseph Kovatch, vice president of the firm. The building is located in the center of the town's Ridge Street business district.

Kovatch said the property will be subdivided to accommodate a number of smaller stores, or a "mini mall." Included in the sale is a parking lot located opposite to the West Patterson Street store entrance as well as a garage-type building immediately west of the store.
