There is still time to enter the annual 4-H holiday ornament contest.

Entries and registration forms must be submitted to the Carbon County Penn State Extension office at 529 Lentz Trail in Jim Thorpe by 3 p.m. Dec. 5.The three age categories for the contest are: 8-12 (beginners), 13-16 (intermediate) and 17-19 (advanced).The contest is open to all children enrolled in the 4-H program. Ornaments must be handmade by the 4-H'er and follow the theme "My 4-H project."Ornaments should be no larger than 4 inches by 4 inches and should be light enough to hang on a tree.All entries will be judged on creativity and originality. Prizes for first, second and third place winners in each age group will be awarded. Entries become the property of the Penn State Extension office and will not be returned to the owner.For more information or to obtain a registration form, call Georgia A.
