Sen. Yudichak joins Senate Democratic leadership

State sen. John Yudichak (D-Luzerne/Carbon) was selected to serve as a member of the Senate Democratic Caucus Leadership Team in the role of caucus administrator for the 2015-16 legislative session.

As caucus administrator, Yudichak will work closely with Senate Minority Leader Jay Costa and the Senate Democratic Leadership Team to develop and communicate caucus legislative priorities. He will also assist in the coordination of caucus meetings and advancing the Senate Democratic agenda."It is a privilege to be selected to serve as caucus administrator. I am grateful for the support and confidence I received from sen. Costa and my colleagues,” Yudichak said. “I am committed to working to meet the needs of our members and assisting in advancing the goals, policies and values of the Democratic caucus. Most importantly, I continue to be humbled by the honor of serving the people of the 14th Senatorial District in Luzerne and Carbon counties."Yudichak will also represent the caucus and staff as a member of the Committee on Management Operations.

“As new caucus administrator, sen. Yudichak will have direct input in crafting policy initiatives and reacting to key issues,” Costa said. “Sen. Yudichak, with his many years in both the House and the Senate, is an experienced lawmaker who will bring creative ideas and new energy to our leadership team.”

Yudichak was recently elected to his second term as the state senator for the 14th District. Yudichak previously served in the House of Representatives from 1999 through 2010.
