Michele Belovich R.N. of Nesquehoning, an employee at Gnaden Huetten Memorial Hospital in Lehighton, has been named the 1982 Nurse of Hope by the Carbon-Tamaqua Unit of the American Cancer Society. Belovich was chosen from four nurses vying for the title.

Judging was based on the nurses' abilities to communicate, professionalism and sincerity of concern. The winner will be available to speak to students, men's and women's organizations, as well as professionals in the nursing field.
