A development of major importance to the economic growth of Carbon County and the western Poconos took place when ground was broken for a 200-unit motel resort complex, an 18-hole championship golf course and related facilities in Kidder Township.

The groundbreaking signifies the inception of "Foodergong Lodge in the Poconos."
