Medical services week announced

Schuylkill County commissioners proclaimed May 19-23 as Emergency Medical Services Week.

Commissioners issued the proclamation at a work session Wednesday to "recognize the value and the accomplishments of emergency medical services providers."In other matters, commissioners approved the promotion of four part-time nurses' aide trainees to full-time aides at the county nursing home at Rest Haven.They are Tanya Hill, New Ringgold; Brittany Williams and Danielle Rubright, both of Pottsville; and Brianna Roth of Schuylkill Haven.The women will earn $12.43 an hour.Commissioners appointed Elaine McGeoy of Pottsville as a part-time activities aide. She'll earn $10.08 an hour.Commissioners approved two promotions at the Office of Senior Services.Lori Ann Beach of Minersville and Caitlin Morgan of Hegins Township were promoted from aging care manager 1 to aging care manager 2. They will each earn $16.39 an hour.Commissioners also approved the promotion of Michael Dougal of West Mahanoy Township from telecommunicator 3 to telecommunicator 4.
