Several Carbon and Monroe county municipalities are in line to be awarded recycling grants through the state Department of Environmental Protection.
In Carbon, Penn Forest will receive $213,705 for its drop-off recycling program, while Palmerton will get $25,497 for curbside recycling, under DEP's Act 101 Waste Recycling Program.Over in Monroe, the Oak Grove Multi-Municipal CFC will receive $127,045 for compost recycling, with Chestnuthill Township set to get $81,357 for its recycling processing center.St. Clair Borough, in Schuylkill County, will receive $186,955 for its curbside recycling program.
