Preparations have been made for the 4th Annual Connell McCall Memorial Fishing Tournament to be held on Saturday, May 12, at the Nesquehoning Creek, sponsored by the Nesquehoning Conservation Club. Helping to make the event successful are members of the Friends of Connell McCall and the Emmett McCall Family, Lansford, as well as area businesses. Perrin said he and members of the Friends applaud the Nesquehoning Conservation Club for once again sponsoring the fishing derby, as well as the "great job" it has done in its mission is to promote field and stream conservation and good sportsmanship, help stimulate public awareness of fishing in the Nesquehoning Creek, make sure conservation codes are followed and promote community involvement in field and stream activities. The club was funded in 2005.
