Dear Editor,

It seems to me that over the years, many of the people on the Lehighton School Board have "illusions of grandeur" for themselves rather than for the good of the students and the community.Just a few months ago, all they were excited about was the grand sports complex they want to build.As I told them at one of the meetings, the future will be cyberschool. We'll need one building for the poor children who have no access to computers and this "wonderful" technology being carried around in everyone's hands.Well, I've lived most of my life already, and it's been a wonderful life and lifetime; our generation has had the best of everything. I pity the future generations.So, to the good people of the school board, God be with you, and may you accomplish the best and right things for our kids.And yes, I do pray, even right here in your administration building during these meetings.If only you would begin with a prayer to our God AND pledge to our flag.Saying the flag's pledge alone will do no good without God and I don't care what the rest of the nation says.Ruthann SchlechtLehighton
