Schuylkill County commissioners on Wednesday approved a number of personnel moves.

At the county nursing home at Rest Haven in Schuylkill Haven, commissioners accepted the retirement of full-time licensed practical nurse Patricia Howerter of Mount Carmel; approved the termination of full-time LPN Miriah Whitaker of Pottsville; appointed Angela Detweiler of Schuylkill Haven as a part-time nurses' aide; and transferred Monica Wolfgang of Lavelle from a part-time nurses' aide to full time.Commissioners also accepted the retirement of corrections officer Stephen Smulley of Pottsville.Also the county coroner's office appointed Katherine Schuck of Pottsville as part-time clerk at $11.09 an hour.The Office of Senior Services accepted the resignation of Aging Care Manager II James Bankes of Frackville, and the Adult Probation office announced the promotion of Joseph T. Nagle from probation officer aide to probation officer 1. Nagle will be paid $21.03 an hour.
