Lehighton artist Tecu'Mish Munha'Ke will have several of her creations on display at a Philadelphia gallery.

The 10th annual Mary Liz Memorial Masters Exhibition opens today with a reception from 7 to 10 p.m. at the Off the Wall Gallery at Dirty Frank's, located on the northeast corner of 13th and Pine streets in Philadelphia.

Munha'Ke and fellow artists Russell Brodie and Jon Laidacker will be on hand to meet the public during the reception.

The exhibit continues through April 25.

Munha'Ke is a self-taught artist with a pot-bellied pig named Stella Dora von Swineburg as her muse.

She moved back to her home town 14 years ago after chronic, debilitating illnesses necessitated her retiring early.

Once home, she decided to try her hand at her creative side and learn mosaic and others things she wanted to try.

She joined online Yahoo art groups, exchanged Artist Trading Cards, Altered books and eventually found and joined the Carbon County Art League.

After a few years of exploration, she discovered that found object assemblage is her true passion.

Munha'Ke shows her work locally through the Carbon County Art League and in various venues in Philadelphia.
