Carbon County Career and Technical Institute in Jim Thorpe is bidding farewell to building and grounds supervisor Dave Kost. After 30 years on the job, Kost, at left with CCTIadministrative director David Reinbold, isretiring as of June 30. He said he's looking forward to spending time with his grandson, and eventually traveling with his wife. Kost on Thursday said the school's $20 million building project, completed in 2011, and its students, were the highlights of his career. Also retiring are cleaners Mildred Boyle and Karen Ruch, both of whom worked at CCTI for 20 years. The Joint Operating Committee presented each with a bouquet. "They rarely, rarely missed a day of work," Kost said of the women.
