Tamaqua woman cited after fight

A Tamaqua woman has been cited after she decided to investigate a tire slashing incident on her own.

Lori Reppert, 43, of 259 W. Rowe St., called Tamaqua police at 11:26 a.m. on June 16 to report that two of the tires on her vehicle had been slashed. She insisted she knew who did the mischief, even though she didn't witness the incident. She was asked to come to the station and fill out a victim's statement form.Instead, police received a call at 1:08 p.m. concerning a fight at 205 W. Rowe St. There, they found Reppert, with a pit bull dog and a baseball bat. She told the officer she decided to confront the man she suspected of slashing her tires. She admitted threatening the man with the bat, but said she never struck him.The intended victim agreed he wasn't hit, only threatened, telling police he didn't even know Reppert and would have no reason to slash her tires.Reppert was cited for harassment.
