Tamaqua police have filed charges against a New Ringgold man for allegedly stealing his friend's PlayStation 4 video console.

Dominic Chickilly, 23, of 684 Arrow Road, New Ringgold, allegedly went to the Tamaqua home of Michael Sedlock on May 7. Sedlock told officers he went upstairs for about 20 minutes and when he returned downstairs, Chickilly and the video game system, which included a Madden Football game, were missing.

A few days later, Sedlock heard Chickilly had traded the PlayStation in at a GameStop store.

Police contacted numerous GameStops in the area and learned the stolen console had been traded in at the store in West Hazleton for $240 in cash. The system had already been resold. Chickilly was positively identified as the person doing the trade.

He was charged with theft by unlawful taking and receiving stolen property.
