Liquor board cites Carbon business

The Wilkes-Barre enforcement office of the state liquor control board cited a Carbon County business for violating the state liquor code.

Harmony Beverage, located along Route 940, in Blakeslee, Kidder Township, was cited on Monday for a violation on Dec. 14, 2018, when it sold, furnished and/or gave or permitted such sale, furnishing or giving of alcoholic beverages to a minor.

This offense will be brought before an administrative law judge who has the authority to impose penalties ranging from $50 to $1,000 for minor offenses and up to $5,000 for more serious ones. In addition, the judge can also impose a license suspension or revocation of license based on the severity of the charge brought.
