The Western Pocono Lioness Club held a Patriotic Coloring Contest recently. First place winner was Madeline Geiser-Getz, second place winner is Susie Griffith and third place winner is Eliana Pachter. About two dozen children of all ages colored a picture for service members and wrote letters. Crafts and snacks were free. Baltimore Life provided a service for children and adults as well; applications for 11 Smart Safety cards for identification for children and five Adult Medical cards were also completed. The club meets on the fourth Tuesday each month at the American Legion in Gilbert.
