Lansford man threatens family

Lansford police have a charged a borough man for threatening to kill his family.

Officer Shawn Nunnemacher charged Harry Dale, 57, of 333 W. Bertsch St., with terroristic threats and harassment.According to an affidavit of probable cause, at 6:08 p.m. May 15, Nunnemacher was sent to an emergency medical services call to that address on a report of a drunk, combative man. People in the house told him Dale was upstairs in the bathtub and that he had threatened to kill them.Emergency medical crews had already evaluated Dale, and he refused any kind of treatment.Nunnemacher spoke with Dale's girlfriend and his sons. They all said Dale had been verbally aggressive and argumentative, and was now threatening to kill them. They all expressed fear of Dale based on his previous actions.Nunnemacher took Dale into custody. He tried to pull away from the officer several times and was uncooperative. Nunnemacher could smell alcohol on Dale, his eyes were glassy and his speech slurred. Dale continued to threaten his family, saying he was going to shoot them down.At the police station, Nunnemacher read Dale his Miranda rights and Dale gave a written statement.
